In this conversation
She expects to stay a few months. Then comes work, a sense of familiarity, children, everyday life… and six months turn into forty-five years.
She recalls Norway in the early 1980s, Stavanger during the oil boom, everyday culture shocks, the challenges of the climate, raising a family across cultures, a move to Paris and a return to Norway. And that particular feeling of no longer being entirely French, without feeling entirely Norwegian either.
A warm and funny account, with the perspective of time, of building a life between two countries.
